I've had that kind of trouble with those super-discount tool places too. They drop-ship and often it takes a month or more to get something or they end up not being able to get it. It comes down to how much hassle you're willing to go through to save how much money.
I have two Mikwaukee grinders and a Metabo grinder. I'll have to say one of the Milwaukees makes a lot of noise, like its gears are loose or grinding (always did that even when new) and I don't have a lot of faith that it will last long. I've used the Metabo the most and am very pleased with it. It's kind of an odd brand -- German I think -- but it runs smoothly and seems to take a lot of abuse.
