Environmental Conservation says no native cougars. However, there is always talk of someone seeing one. In 6 million acres of dense timber, who knows. One did come thru this area a year or so ago and was killed in Conn. There is talk of Wolf introduction as they were native here a long long time ago. Lots of Pro/Con, its always a fight at meetings.

And way deep in the back country is where you find them. You don want to meet them !
