Changed the ballast resistor yet?

The 'start' side burns out, and it won't start- unless you let off the key, and the 'run' side gives a zap while the engine is still spinning.

I guess the system uses the one side when cranking, then switches to the 'run' side? Time it right, and it'll start.

Saw a heap'o that [rob back in the day.
