Buy a small 110 Mig welder. Used one can be had for less than $400. I prefer the ones that use a shielding gas.
Mig welders are the easiest welder to use. Just get someone to show you how to get you going. Welding, at least Mig welding, is not a black art.
Welding on a nut is one of the best ways to get out a broken off bolt.
Welding is one of those skills that will keep paying you back for the rest of your life, sort of like learning to touch type. Beginning typing was the most valuable class I ever took in high school. Basic welding was the most valuable class I ever took in Jr. College.
