How to remove intake and exhaust manifold?

Im replacing the intake and exhaust gaskets on my 251. Ive removed all the nuts. The intake and exhaust seem to be adhered to the block very well. Ive tapped it with a hammer and chisel without much luck. Whats the correct way to remove these parts? Any tips?
