That's probably why my first M37 has a front bumper made out of 3/4" plate, and 3 beads of weld holding most of the brackets and such on it. Some guy with a torch and a scrap pile said, "This looks like it ought'a be about right." There's engineering and then there's make it so freaking heavy it can't possibly break.
