All in all, swapping a civvies Dodge cab would be easiest. Trimming the bottom a couple inches would not be hard, certainly easier than building a whole new cab. And you have a donor cab to cut up for any chunks you may need.
OR buy a donor PW cab that needs less work, as low as $100, high as $1,000?
But what is wrong with yours? Rear corner patches are available, dents can be pounded out, holes welded up.
Link is to pics of my before/after. Yes, I swapped cabs. 'New' one cost $250, needed some work. Sold the really rotten one to somebody for $100, he only wanted the top half of the windshield frame for a fire truck. I've got about $10K in that truck, but 1500 hours. I fixed, didn't replace. I think I used 3 doors to make one.
But trust me, it's worth lots more than a boogered together Franken truck.
