Did he spray JUST Roundup? Find out what he sprayed for sure as there are all kinds of mixtures that use Roundup with other Chemicals.
Roundup is Monsanto's brand name and the patent ran out on it so the Generics are out now and have driven the price down. The active ingrediant is Glyophosate so look for that.
Straight Roundup(Glyophosate) only kills what it touches systemically. There is NO residual. As someone else said, The soil neutralizes it. Nurserys normally spray over top, let dry, and then plant right in the soil with flowers and such with no problems,
Round up is one of the only herbicides I know of that was actually Downgraded in it's toxicity ratings. It is absorbed though the plant and shuts down the photosynthesis process, killing roots and all. Using on trees would not normally work well is why I asked if you were sure that is what he used.
Normally a 2-4D variant is used for that.
