One wire from each terminal on the sender to a terminal on the gauge. The float grounds a center contact- full tank one side to ground, other side much resistance. Full tank things are reversed.

I think the sender terminals are labeled A & B. Perhaps the gauge terms are too? Then a to a, b to b?
