There's no direct replacement for that seal.
Some of the military vendors like AB Linn Midwest Military,etc. offer new production seals from "New Star"
There is also a National seal number of 6127
That I believe is still leather.
You know you have to soak the leather seal in oil for a day before you install.
Do call vintage about your problem.
Might be as simple as soaking your seal in oil or send you another seal.
