I wanted to keep the story short. The truth is, the screws are continuing to shear. Only a dozen or so at first, but now there are many more. And we all expect that as summer comes on there will be even more. Removing the broken screws enlarges the hole in the decking and the new screws sink down in the hole. The final appearance is not acceptable.
