I flushed it several times and no improvement. Had to pull the front clip and radiator. I got lucky I got the tube out without too much fuss. I think it was three pieces, or so. I pulled the freeze plugs and couldn't figure out why there were double plugs low in the back. Turns out that was really well packed rust sludge. I used the spray nozzle on the hose to blast every hole from every available angle. Spent the better part of the day playing with water and making a mess. New tube, jacket (water pump and radiator soon after as i blasted out all the crud blocking the leaks) and plugs. It hasn't over heated since. Bailing wire is good for picking and flossing the hard to reach cracks.
