Well, on the '39 - '47 cab, you need to have the door lock and link in place first, the window in the channel, and the regulator loose inside the door.
You can lift the regulator and slide the rollers into place, turning the square shaft to move the rollers apart into the channel runs.
It's worth knowing that the left and right hand lower channels LOOK identical but aren't, so if you fit one to the wrong side it will work for some of the travel and then the roller will fall out.
