If it was me, I'd clean up an old oil pump, remove the gear or grind them down so they do not engage, pull the distributer and swap the oil pumps. Using a long shaft (or weld a long rod the the present shaft) spin the pin and prime. Put the old pump and distributer back in. There will be a momentary dry period as the pump picks oil, but many pumps and pickup tubes drain back anyway. But the engine will have been primed.
