Brian in Oregon mentioned a Ford 300 C.I. straight six as being too long for an M37. Would it also be too long for a flat-fender PW? I'm hoping that the 230 in my soon-to-be-received '53 B-4-PW has plenty of life left in it, but I do have a 300 available. Its from an '84 E150 van that has been in our family since new. The van is shot, but w/ 85,000 miles still starts reliably and runs great. In attempting such a cross-bred conversion, what would work as far as bellhousing and transmission connections. Could the original tranny be used? Has anyone ever done or heard of a Ford 300 in a PW? Please don't turn this into a Dodge vs "the F word" rash of postings, I'm just curious!!!!! Bruce
