The compression ratio is 6.7:1.
In 1953, the ration went up to a WOPPING 7.0:1, and in 1954 it hit a land slow speed record with an increase to 7.25:1.
It is funny that you should mention windshields. Today, I just pulled one from a WM300. I looked it over quickly and it looks to be solid and without any holes, just surface rust. I will give it a closer inspection. I will also discuss it with my friend who is also involved with these parts.
