The 4th Annual DSMV Spring Rally & Trail Ride was huge success thanks to the participation of over 40 friends and family of DSMV that showed up today bringing together 19 vehicles for a wonderful day on the hills and creeks of Doug & Sharon McKee's farm. The trail ride was great and everybody had all they wanted. Thanks to one of the four M37's on hand with a winch everyone made it up the bluff and off the sandbar again this year. Yes, we will go there again next year...and have to use recovery techniques to get off again.
Vehicles present included the four M37s, two WWII Dodges ( WC57 & WC62), five WWII jeeps, five M151 A2 series jeeps, two CUCVs and a M274A5 mule. Several wives and kids came out and enjoyed drivng the trucks, splashing in the waterfall and having a great time on the trails meeting new friends.
Pics will be up soon and I will let you know where to view them. Also will we more details and pictures in the next DSMV Newsletter.
Thanks to Doug & Sharon for ALL the work they did in making this an excellent day. Thanks to all of you that attended the event and we hope to see the rest at the next one.
Keep'em rolling,
Jim Pace
