Can anyone tell me what year the hood emblems were change from the flat to the shorter raised lettering? I have a 68 WM300 that has the shorter raised lettering and am told this correct. But I have seen pictures of a 66 WM300 that had the old style. Joe Cimoch's 68 WM300 has the old style but I was told (not by him) that he changed to them because he liked them better. Is that so, Joe?
Also, on the old style some have Made in USA on them and some don't. Why are they different? Where some made out of the country or did different companies make them and some just didn't put Made in USA on them.
Just sent some of these babies in to be re chromed and it's been about twenty years since I have had anything chromed. When he called me with the quote, they were searching for the smelling salts at the office to revive me.
