Most guys hook a piece of chain between a couple bolts- maye an exhaust manifold and a waterpump bolt? Sometimes the rental hoists come with a "balancer"gismo that allows adjustment as hoisting progresses. Or fabricate the plate shown in the manual if you expect to pull lots of 230's/ 218's.
