Am putting a 1952 230 engine in my '42 wc-63. I removed the oil pressure plug and spring, but do not see a plunger piston. only a tapered hole about 5/8 dia. with 1/8 hole in bottom. Does a ball go under the spring, or is the tapered thing the plunger? It does not want to come out. Also what should initial valve lash be cold?
