The rubber strip around the inner windshield frame is a fairly common (antique) automotive weatherstrip called a T-Rubber. You can get it by the foot from VPW and cut and glue the corners yourself, or John Bizal has the whole assembly molded together at the corners. I used a roller type tool such as is used to put screen in aluminum doors to put it into the groove. You could also make a similar tool from a thin washer by attaching an axle and handle to it. It just rolls into the slot with a tool like this.
