This is one of the reasons I moved away from Calif. in 1971. The next thing you know, they will have EPA and OSHA officials present. You will have to wear fall restraint harnesses if your running board is over 30" off of the ground. Your spark plug wires will have to be GFI protected. And don't forget the training wheels to keep you upright. They would probably like it if you just had your rally at the local Wal Mart parking lot. God help us!!
Even the regs for our little "Lost in the '50s" car show here in North Idaho have restrictions for "revving engines", "excessive loudness" and "NO BURNOUTS". All I can figure is the influx of Californians has brought a lot of people in who couldn't stand to leave behind all of their rules and regulations. The natives used to have bumper stickers on their cars in the '70s that said "DON'T CALIFORNICATE NORTH IDAHO". Maybe it's time to have some more printed.
