Not a dumb question -
From a power wagon book I have in my library, I recall that VC is just the series designation of the truck, it doesn't "mean anything" in particular.
This same book says that the WC series was again simply a term Dodge used to designate that model series. Later, soldiers and others decided that the WC stood for "weapons carrier".
