Perry: I cracked the plastic cowel on my JD 4400 several years ago. On the back side that does not show I mended it with two part epoxy and fiberglass cloth, the same stuff that RC modelers use. With the seam tight, you can barely notice where it was cracked on the front. I strongly suggest using fiberglass for additional strength, glue alone will not hold up. Sort of the same process for body work on a Corvette or a boat.
