Between Dallas and Oklahoma City, the Interstate cuts through the Arbuckle Mountains. There is a stretch of old highway that loops off of the Interstate there. The city of Davis operates a public park centered around a travertine waterfall and a scenic swimming creek. They charge a fee for entrance, but it is worth it. The facilities are crude, which makes it feel like going back in time to when recreation centered around a swimming hole.
