I don't think they would have the market share.
If the government wouldn't have made it cheaper to import than make our own, we wouldn't have lost so many jobs.
Most big corporations don't give a rat's butt about the people , just the almighty dollar.
Final note, I knew of 6 businesses in Pa that closed because the union made it no longer profitable for them to stay in business.
