The other day I was using my truck to winch some trees out of a hard to get at area. Winch worked great but noticed a ton of wear on the sides of the bumperettes where the cable rubbed. Made some deep grooves. I think I'm going to put some lead rollers on there to take care of it. What I'm wondering about is why Dodge didn't worry about this and install fair leads on the winch to begin with. I know back in the war times non one really cared about a little wear on the bumperettes because the trucks were basically disposable, but if you used the winch every day and couldn't pull "staight on" all the time, you could get some serious wear in a short amount of time.
