My '46 WDX has a flathead 6, but it's not the original engine. Someone, for some reason, ground off the numbers on the left front side of the block. It has a vacuum advance distributor. And it has a big "D" on the top of the head toward the rear, about 3/4 of the way back. For some reason I thought at one time that letter "D" meant it was a Plymouth engine, but I can't remember why I thought that. Can anyone help with the info I have given? Thanks. JH
