The book you bought covers:
B = 1/2 ton 2wd
C = 3/4 ton 2wd
D = 1 ton 2wd
That is the most common of the 1955 owners manuals. Generally speaking the 1955 6 volt C3 owners manuals have a number like D-15239 and the 1956 12 volt ones are marked "D-15239 (second edition)".
If you want the 100% correct book you need the one that says PW on the cover.
Other 1955 owners manuals cover models like F, G, H, HH, J, K or R, T, V, Y.
In those years there were 4-5 owners manuals per year and each one covers different models. Not until 1963 did Dodge lump the 2wd and 4wd trucks into the same book. This means that from 1946-1962 PWs got their own owners manual and it will either say Power Wagon or a model like WM300 on the cover.
For the most part the book you bought will be much the same as the PW specific book and honestly and 1946-55 PW specific manual should be close enough for thinks like winch operation.
