Hello guys
Im sorry that I don`t post much, but I am a long time follower. I have enjoyed this forum because of the down to earth people that have the same love for these trucks.
For years I wanted to take on a project like this, but didn`t have the time do to work or family issus`s. Now moving forward, or backwards a few years ago I purchased a 1947 wdx from Michigan and had it shipped to me where I live in Salem,Mass. I remember the first time I laid my eyes it, on the ramp truck. I said to myself what did I just get myself into, even family thought I was going threw a middle age crious. well I had a few months to think of a game plan where to begin. Now I can move forward,it`s been 3 years now and the project is about 80% complete. It has challeged me in all ways of what I have learned over my working years in my life time.It has even brought my family closer too.We talk a lot about the progress being made and the day it will be driving under its own power, some day soon if all goes well.Well I am 50years of age and it`s been a real trip. Now I will end this on this note,I have noticed that this truck brings people together from the mailman, trashman,
the gasman and electic reader man and local people walking by all stop and talk about the progess being made.Gee I really didn`t think that this was touching so many people.
I think that`s real cool. Thanks for being there,to all. steve
