I did some checking and found that the early locking knob and wire throttle control was used up to serial number 83900466 (Detroit) and 88750029 (Los Angeles). This was part number 917 249 which was replaced by the ratcheting rod assembly that had no number of its own, but was compiled of separate part numbers for each individual component.

In the 1956 parts list, a new number to the Power Wagon appeared (first time in a PW parts list, but not the first time the number was used - indicating that it had previously been used in other Chrysler parts list[s]) - 1501 407. This was the T-handle locking knob and wire assembly.

This number disappears and is not seen in the 1957 parts list. It gets real confusing from 1957 through 1959 as the parts lists keep diverting back to the old WDX 917 249 number, but by 1960, they seemed to have settled on a new number - 1191 534.
