For what it's worth my WDX restored by me is insured through Hagerty for $40,000 on the advice of there Appraisal.
They obviously watch the market and periodically send out updated prices for me to consider if I want to raise the current value.
I first thought there just trying to get more premium money.
But after further research on my own and the fact were talking small dollars I usually upgrade the policy.
Most decently restored and a few original survivors are easily worth $20,to 50,000
