BK, I have a tattersfield 2x1 intake on my 230, the odds are that the intake is for a 230, tattersfield went under in 1954 so I am sure there is more 230 intakes out there than for the 25" engine. but on the chance that you have the correct intake for your engine, yes it is a very good upgrade, check with cliffords high performance, or langdons stovebolt for headers, I opted for the cast iron fenton repops from langdons, then ran two back into one bigger pipe out the back. didn't want a lot of noise and it worked fine. when I bought the headers the guy at langdons told me that the TF intake was one of the better intakes of it's time, if you look at it closely you will see what I mean. the drawback to running the headers is you will have to heat the manifold with water, about twenty min. in cold weather to fully warm up. I have had mine on now for about 3 1/2 yrs. I will not change it back to a single. it's relitevely easy to set up, so if you can do it. if you need more info just holler on the forum here. Dave.
