Does Anyone Have A 3 Speed Transmission?

I have a friend restoring a 1960 W100 with a 315 & 3 speed column shift & he needs a transmission.
What years would that transmission be the same?
I have lots of 4 speeds around here but I don't have a clutch or mechanical bellhousing for him to swap it to 4 speed.
Who's the resident 1/2T expert? :)
I know nothing about 1/2 tons & I'm fixin to keep it that way :) :)
