Cummins is a great engine. However, my experience with Chrysler products has soured me on them.
Someone said we need a truck with a Cummins engine and an Allison transmission.
I'm afraid the horsepower race is going to negatively impact the Cummins engines too. We need a moderate horsepower diesel with long life. Not hot rods.
I had a Mercedes 300D. Not fast, but reliable as heck. If you didn't get 400,000 miles from the engine, you felt cheated. They were capable of going 1,000,000 miles.
