I can think of a lot better ways to go than having a leg torn off. Motorcycle crashes are not a quick or easy way to go. Having worked accident investigation in Los Angeles, I know.
Motorcycle riders have already rationalized the risk they take. I'm not trying to persuade anyone. If logic and fact were persuasive, very few people would ride motorcycles.
