Highest paid dishwasher in NJ. Back in the early 80s I played softball in a bar league. While sitting at the bar after a game, a waitress came and told the manager that the dishwasher haven't showed up yet . I mentioned that I had operated a large slide through dish washing machine for a catering hall when I was a teenager. 20 minutes later the waitress comes back panicking that the kitchen was running out of dishes and silverware. The manager begs me to put on an apron and clear the backlog of dirty dishes and utensils. I agreed to help, IF the manager tore up my monthly bar tab. Mgr pulls my tab from the box behind the register and says " no way !" two minutes later the cook comes out and tells the mgr that he's shutting down the kitchen. Mgr goes back to tab box pulls out my $230 tab , rips it up ,and growls get to work! 3 hours till closing and 1 hour of tear down
Puts me in the dishwasher hall of fame at $57dollars an hour.
