If technology didn't get better we would still be driving the same vehicles we were then.
These trucks were fine for their day and purpose, but that was a long time ago, and today they have less and less usability outside of an exceedingly small group or as a toy.
The modified versions allow them to be used and enjoyed by a larger group of people. You've had to learn some new tricks to stay relevant, we're just giving these trucks the same chance.
