I sheared the stock pins that VPW sells twice so started using a grade 5 quarter inch bolt. I sheared that once too by making a mistake letting my mud covered boot slip off the clutch while the cable was hooked to a very stuck blazer. The shear pins were just too weak for use up in the mountains. could have been a bad batch of shear pins though. I believ they are cast and maybe the heat treating was off.??
