My 62 Power Wagon has a 251, 4.89 gears, 9.00-16 tires, and lockouts. Traveling on I-70 (flat), fully loaded and pulling a full side-by-side horse trailer I've gotten as high as 14.5 mpg. We were running around 55mph. I have never calculated the mileage around town.
