There was an article in MV mag a couple issues back about restoring a truck of that vintage (not a dodge). It listed some resources for things like re-babbitting engine bearings and getting new solid rubber tires made. It sounds like a fun project.
One thing to look out for on old machines is 1/2-12 bolts. Modern coarse-thread 1/2 inch bolts are 1/2-13. You can make a real mess before you figure that out if you're not careful. Other bolt diameters tend not to be such a problem.
