The most noticable benefit is seen in the old flathead six's, the water distribution tube looks like new when you pull it out. It also comes out very easily. I watched Steve Wataha do this with an engine he had and I was totally amazed how well the stuff works. Some commercially available cooling system treatments use soluble oil - they turn milky when you add them to your coolant. They also cost a bunch more than the straight stuff that you can buy and add yourself.
