I bought a '93 Power Ram 250 club cab Getrag 5-speed Cummins last Nov. It had 102,000 miles on it and I have added 16,500 miles since then. I kept track of every gallon of fuel and was getting 19.5 unloaded. Full fuel and canopy on, the empty wt is 6,720 lbs. I recently put Banks Engineering Stinger system on (big exhaust & wastegated turbo housing) Mileage went up to 21.1 and I have noticeably more power. Made a believer out of me, but realistically its going to take a long time to save enough fuel to make up for the $1300 cost. On the other hand, it was almost $1300 worth of fun the first time I put my foot in it and felt all that TORQUE! Will I spend the additional money to get Banks' better intercooler? That will add a total of 70hp and 240ft-lbs of torque over the stock Cummins. You bet I will if I can figure out a way to convince my wife!
