Dan,
I removed the thermostat then poured about a cup of Tide in the radiator. I started the engine and let her run about 10 minutes. Then I disconnected the hose from the rad at the intake and directed it down, stuck a hose in that hole and let it run for a couple of minutes after the water was clear.
