I regularly average 75 mph on I-5 from LA to SF in my '64 W-300. Couple of times I've cruised at 80, but when I get on the secondaries, the gas mileage really drops (from 7.5 to 6 or less) I'm running a 413 industrial ex motor home engine with a NP540 direct 5th, and 10R22.5 truck radial tires (40.5" OD) This is with a 6 1/2 foot high box on the rear bed. I'd sure prefer the diesel mileage, though. Rob
