universals are always turning. The upside is it shifts in and out very smoothly, at any speed, and it dosen't disengage/engage
every time you change direction the way automatic hubs do. Thats really hard on things if you try to "rock" the truck to get
out of a "stuck". As for gearing, I'm happy with my 4.10's in the mountains and it dosen't hurt me out on the flats as I usually trailer around 65-68 mph. Milage is twice what my gasser was so I'm a happy camper. I have heard that Dodge's contract with Ford owned Cummins expires in 2002, but that is far from gospel. You'd think they'd use their own Mercedes Diesel...
