the wdx - wm300 power wagons were designed for 100% off road (no road use) and were the
truck choice for extreme contstruction projects in the late 40's & 50's.
todays 4x4 (off roads) would probably last one day (an thats streching it) trying to do the same kind of work because they are designed for 99.999% on road use (commute to work, tow a boat, etc).
have a photo (1955) on the wall of one of my
dad's rigs (a 53 or 54) and it was beat up
then after 2 years line contstuction use
ps my 48 has 430,000 + miles on it
