tires mounted on Split rim wheels require a
flap to protect the tube from chaffing on the
wheel
flaps are all sizes & shapes depending upon the tire & wheel size & type
in mounting talc is sprinkled into the tire, and spread around then the tube is inserted,
inflated a bit then the flap is installed. the assembly is installed on the wheel, lock ring installed & the assembly is placed in a SAFETY CAGE for inflation to correct pressure
OSHA requires that this be done by a trained service person only!
