I sent $45.00 for the build card. What I received in yesterday's mail was a nice cover letter informing me about VPWs; five illegible zerox copies of the build card; a zerox copy of the cover page and contents of a shop manual; a zerox copy of the cover page and Club Sources page of Don Bunn's book; and a zerox copy of the pages of another Dodge truck book telling about the 1950 models. The build cards are extremely difficult to decipher, as it is a punch card and most of the headings are not legible. I did learn my truck was destined for Fargo Motors in Detroit and the date it was sold/shipped.
If you know nothing about your truck but the serial number and are unaware of these other resources, it is a nice service. However, I already have an original shop manual, parts manual, and all but one of the reference books. I could have put the money into fixing up the truck had I known what I would be getting for the money. I guess my expectations were higher.
