A hydroboost can be mounted at any clock degree. However, only 2 locatuons 0 Degree and 180 degree alow a master cylinder to be bolted up and remain upright. In 2 of my installs, it was to my advantage to rotate the hydroboost to a clock degree other than 0 and 180. This put the master cylinder on its side. Master Cylinders dont like to be run on their side. Thus a local friend milled what you call a bracket to index the Master Cylinder to sit straight up.
